Light Duty
The CDX® commercial door operator is UL 325 listed and provides durable and reliable operation. This light duty door operator is designed for use on counter and counter fire door applications. Common applications include factories, schools, concessions, hospitals, cafeterias and retail settings.
Features
- Mounting: Front of hood (chain/sprocket coupling to door). Includes built-in guarding that prevents access to drive chain allowing CDX to be mounted less than 8 ft off of floor
- Motor: 1/2 horsepower, 115V AC single phase motor with high start torque, intermittent-duty, NEMA 42 frame open drip-proof construction, instant reversing with automatic reset thermal overload
- Drive reduction: Helical gear primary reduction and hardened bevel gear secondary reduction
- Power train: Oil impregnated bushing to ensure long life
- Cycles per hour: Operator tested and approved by UL for 5 cycles per hour at rated load of 70 ft-lbs/sec
- Warranty: Two year or 20,000 cycle limited warranty

- Radio hookups: Option available for fast, simple radio frequency connectivity to enable remote door operation
- Hand crank: Optional on standard counter door; comes with electrical interlock
- Governor: Option available on Counter Fire Door only. Centrifugal drum type governor built into operator to control drop speed without disconnection from door
- Release: Option available on Counter Fire Door only. Spring-loaded for automatic release of door by optional fuse link, Fire Sentinel® or similar fire detection system
